104-Year-Old Grandma Reveals Secret to Her Long Life: Drinking Beer and Being Optimistic

When it comes to old age, it is easy to travel with the mind immediately to unpleasant situations, to a period of life that is often experienced as “boring” and sometimes accompanied by various health problems. At a certain age, it is normal to no longer be as fit as before and to have some “ailments”. But perhaps much depends on how much you let yourself be influenced by the prospect of the passing of time and the number of candles you blow out year after year.

This cheerful old woman is proof that age is just a number.

Antoinette Inserra, mother of four children, grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren has reached the enviable milestone of 104 years! A truly surprising age, especially when we consider her psychophysical state which is nothing short of astonishing.

In fact, the woman of venerable age is still vital and cheerful, she looks at least 15 years younger and does not give up anything: she eats peppers and crabs which are among her favorite foods and she also usually accompanies her meals with… beer!

Yes, because despite being more than a century old, she has never stopped drinking alcohol and claims that beer is her “elixir of life”. But there is more.

It is the energy and the desire to take care of herself and her appearance that help her to be serene and continue with her goals in life: Antoinette still wears makeup every day and cares a lot about her appearance, which she takes meticulous care of and declares that all this makes her feel young.

Despite the many years that weigh on her shoulders, she still manages to move around independently thanks to the use of a walker and a wheelchair: “my daughter often takes me out, I take my walker and I don’t need anything else: I’m happy”.

The old woman is a shopaholic and loves gambling, which she indulges in from time to time in moderation.

The “secret” of her long life therefore seems to be an unwavering optimism that has always accompanied her throughout her existence and… beer of course!
