My daughter-in-law is a wonderful girl. She can handle everything: she cooks, washes, and cleans. She doesn’t bother me in any way, she does everything the way she likes. And I’m not that young anymore, I don’t move much, my legs are swollen, I can’t sit down to sew, or go visit my sister, sit, and chat. We recently found out that my daughter-in-law is pregnant, but I couldn’t even go to the hospital with her — she has problems with her joints.
Besides, I can’t help her myself, she does all the housework, and I feel helpless and that makes me feel really bad. Now I want to hire a housekeeper so that she can do the housework, and my daughter-in-law can rest a little and not overexert herself. I don’t mind — if there’s a way to make her life easier, why not help?
I am really looking forward to the birth of my first grandchild and I want everything to go well, so that my daughter-in-law does not suffer and the child is born healthy.
