Vera Sokolova, a 34-year-old mother from a small town in Russia, dreamed of having a big family even in her youth. Her story began with a simple dream – she always imagined how she would raise her son, walk with him in the park and teach him to assemble model airplanes. But fate decided otherwise.
Vera’s first pregnancy turned out to be an unexpected surprise for her. At the ultrasound, she was told that she was expecting twins. “I couldn’t believe it. It was a shock and joy at the same time,” Vera recalls. Nine months later, two charming girls were born – Anya and Masha.
Three years later, Vera again found out that she was expecting a child. This time she was sure that it would be a boy. But the doctors stunned her again – another set of twins! So the family was replenished with two energetic boys – Artyom and Sasha. It would seem that this could be enough, but fate had another surprise in store.
For the third time, Vera decided that she would not guess who would be born. However, another ultrasound confirmed: twins again! Two little girls, Kira and Polina, completed the formation of this unique family.
Life in a non-stop rhythm
Currently, Vera and her husband Pavel are raising six children. Family life is real chaos, but, according to Vera, this is where their happiness lies. “We don’t have a minute of peace, but we can’t imagine our life any other way. Every morning is a new quest, and every night is a well-deserved rest after a day full of laughter, noise and small victories,” Vera shares.
The family spends most of their time together. They have literally every hour scheduled: the older girls help the younger ones with their homework, the boys are passionate about sports training, and the little ones are real generators of ideas for creativity.
How the family copes with difficulties
Of course, such a life is not only joys, but also many challenges. “We often face financial difficulties. Clothes, food, toys – we need money for everything,” Pavel admits. However, the family has learned to find a way out of any situation. They buy in bulk, take advantage of discounts, and exchange things with other large families.
Grandparents also play a big role in the family’s life. “We definitely wouldn’t have made it without their help,” Vera smiles. “They are always ready to babysit, help with cooking, or just support us with a kind word.”
Plans for the future
Despite their difficult life, Vera and Pavel are confident that their children will grow up happy and friendly. “We teach them to help each other, to be honest and kind,” Vera says. “Our goal is to give them a good education and instill a love of life.”
When Vera is asked if she still dreams of a son, she laughs: “I now have three sons and three daughters. What could be better?”
