Our family had always been united and harmonious. For me, it was an ideal, an example of what a real family should be. Since childhood, I dreamed that when I grew up, I would create my own family, where the same love, respect, solidarity and peace would reign as in ours.
Of course, a lot depends on the older members of the family, and I have always been grateful to my grandmother for the warm atmosphere that filled our home. One day I asked her how she had managed to maintain such strong family ties for so many years.
Her answer stunned me. Grandma said: “I just always did what my grandfather told me.”
