Every day when I go home from work, I often give money to beggars. I think that it can bring a little good and that God will take care of my child later. But that day changed my attitude towards this forever.
A woman was sitting on the street, begging: “Help, give me at least 100 rubles so that I can buy bread, my child is starving.” I took out the money and, as usual, wanted to help her. But suddenly something caught my attention. I decided to take a closer look.
Next to her collection box was a large bag. And in the bag… my eyes popped out from what I saw! There was money, a lot of money, about a hundred thousand rubles or more. I was stunned. This was not just a casual income, it was a whole business on people’s pity. I didn’t even know what to tell her. I just walked away silently, shocked by what I saw.
After this incident, I realized how dishonest people can be. They make money on the trust and conscience of others. I no longer give money to anyone on the street, because now I know that some people use other people’s kindness as a source of income. People, be careful and don’t let yourself be deceived!
