She reveals to her 3-year-old daughter that she was adopted because no one wanted her: “I want you, mom!”

Children always know how to surprise and excite us with their purity and simplicity. They have no
superstructures and immediately grasp the meaning of what is truly important. Witness the reaction, to say the least, touching, of a little girl after learning that her mother was adopted. During the adoption
and its meaning may not have been a concept that this 3-year-old was fully aware of, the essential of her mother
explanation was enough for her to get the gist. Emily Fauver is a mom and influencer who decided to do just that

posts a very cute and touching scene between her and her daughter Ella, who is only 3 years old. The video
seems to be taken from one of the house’s security cameras and shows Emily and Ella in the kitchen
chatting. Emily is eating a banana and her daughter simply asks her «who is your mommy?»; the woman
answers «Mimi», but the child wants to know more: «Why is Mimi your mother?». At that moment, the
woman explains to her daughter that she is adopted and to the umpteenth «why?» from her daughter, she
answers: «Because my mother didn’t want me, so a new mother came and took me in».

The little girl was deeply shocked by the fact that someone «didn’t want» her mother and after a short pause said: «Oh, I
really want you, I’ll be your mommy». Emily was visibly moved by this response and seemed to almost cry
with emotion: «Give me a hug. It’s so sweet. That’s exactly why I had you», she told her daughter.
the video is so touching that it has attracted more than 1.5 million users; Emily also clearly wrote
in the caption of the video: «You have been warned… take the tissues or the whole box. This baby has healed
my inner child at only three years old. God knew my heart needed
you.» One user commented: «My heart has been feeling the pull to adopt lately and your story makes that desire
grow in me».

Another user wanted to share her personal story, very similar to Emily’s: «I am also adopted and when
my son asked me what adoption was around the same age as your daughter, he had so much sympathy
for me… and gave me all the love I have ever needed from my birth parents. It is amazing that you shared
that with us.»
