The bond between the grandmother and her grandson has moved the web
Stewart Matthew has heart-shaped eyes as soon as he talks about his grandmother: “She was an 88-year-old woman, full of pep, with a strong character,” says Mattew. And he adds “I had lived with GB years ago, after my grandfather passed away. We were each other’s rock! and I knew, by living with her, that one day I would have her live with me and that I would do everything in my power to make her happy
Thanks to the precious support of his grandmother, Stewart Matthew has found success both professionally and personally. Two years ago now, GB’s grandson landed a job as a project manager in a construction company, and he also found the love of his life, Morgan. Together, they decided to start a home in Freeport. The young couple was floating on a little cloud of happiness, between butterflies in their stomachs and the neighborhood of their dreams, It is the Bahamian version of La vie en rose in full swing. However, Stewart still felt that something was missing in his family cocoon. This is how he made the decision to ask his grandmother to come and live with them, as reported by The Epoch Times in an article published in March 2022. And the cherry on the cake? His fiancée welcomed the news with joy.

In his story, Stewart said “we told GB that we were going to take her to live with us before we even started building the house, the only intriguing surprise was what the house looked like”.
It was exactly in 2020, the year that has marked the minds of many people around the world. Because of Covid, many grandparents found themselves alone, isolated from their families due to confinement. Fortunately, GB was lucky enough to transcend this ordeal alongside her beloved grandson. One day in October, the grandson came up with a plan to surprise his grandmother. He suggested that she accompany him to the construction site to check on the progress of the work. When she arrived, he took out his camera to film her reaction.
The video above left no one indifferent, showing and without filter the reaction of GB, who was at once moved, amazed and plunged into euphoria. In tears, she declared “know that someone wants me”. Amazed and transported in her imagination by the detailed description of the house by her grandson. Enthusiastically she added “I am ready to go”
