Yesterday my mother-in-law went to a relative’s house to pick red apples. I knew that she would pick up my child from school and take him home, and then go about her business. But what happened next shocked me. My son did not come home on time, and I began to worry. I called my mother-in-law and asked: “Where are you?” The answer simply stunned me: “We went to Arusents.”

At that moment I was angry, but I decided not to say anything on the phone, I just hung up. Then I immediately called my husband and told him that our mother-in-law took our child to pick apples. My husband did not hesitate, he left work, went to get our son and brought him home.

In the evening, when my mother-in-law returned, she entered the house with a downcast face and did not exchange a single word with us. I was already overwhelmed with emotions, and I could not stand it. I asked: “Are you upset? You should have thought about this before!”

She took my child from school to a women’s holiday without my consent. I asked: “How many other children did you have that you decided to take mine?” My mother-in-law began to justify herself by saying that she was simply late and could not pick him up on time, but I could no longer contain my emotions. If I had not called, she would not have even bothered to inform me that my child was with her.

It seems that my mother-in-law is becoming more and more unpredictable and impatient.
